Change your password

For everyone

1. Open Settings → Your account and click the Password row.
2. Enter your Current password — "We ask for your current password so a stolen phone can't take over your account."
3. Enter the New password (at least 8 characters) and repeat it.
4. Click Change password.

"Every other device signs out. You stay signed in here — any phone or laptop still logged in elsewhere is signed out immediately." That's a feature: if someone else had your account open, they're out the moment you change it.

What happens next

You stay signed in on the device you changed it from; everywhere else asks for the new password.

Common problems

• "That password is incorrect." — the current password didn't match. If you can't remember it, the screen's own escape hatch is there: "Can't remember your current password? Get a reset link by email instead."
