Block someone
For everyone
Blocking is the strongest door in messaging, and the Blocked screen in Settings defines it completely: "A block is silent — the other side is never told. It closes any open conversation, declines pending introductions, and removes you both from each other's search results."
To block
- Open the conversation and its ⋮ menu ("Conversation options").
- Click Block.
It acts immediately — "✓ Blocked. They can no longer message you or appear in your results. Manage blocks in Settings." — with no confirmation step, so treat the button as final.
What happens next
- The conversation closes for both sides and shows Closed in the lists.
- You disappear from each other's search results at once.
- Their history with you (past messages, request records) remains visible to them — blocking removes the future, not the past.
To unblock
- Open Settings → Account → Blocked.
- Find the entry and click Unblock.
Unblocking does not reopen the closed conversation. Reconnecting takes a fresh introduction, accepted by both sides, like any other.
